Welcome to LeafCrest Counseling
My name is Maryanne McFarland, and my goal as a counselor is to create a supportive environment in which my clients can explore their emotional needs and overcome barriers that limit their full potential. I offer a judgment-free zone within the walls of my office, and I help you find real-life solutions to problems that can seem overwhelming. I am an EMDR provider.
We have offices in Ogden and in Davis County, and we are SASSI qualified.
We work with Julie Hansen, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Exercise Physiologist. Visit her website by clicking here.
Meet the Counselors
My name is Jennifer Johnson. I am family-oriented and have a strong anchor and relationship with my husband, four daughters and two grandchildren. I have experienced some of my own trials and life challenges, which I feel assist me in building an empathetic rapport with clients. My work as a counselor began after receiving my Master’s of Social Work from the University of Utah and my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, with an emphasis in Family Studies, from Weber State University. I believe that all people have the ability to realize their true potential, recognize and build on their strengths, and find solutions to problems while trying to navigate life’s challenges. I feel that most of life's experiences are best processed and coped with in a judgment-free zone where there is acceptance and an atmosphere of caring.
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and an Exercise Physiologist. I am also a Certified Intuitive eating Counselor and a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. My experience providing nutrition counseling and exercise prescription enables me to help a variety of clients, from competitive to recreational athletes to individuals wanting to lose or gain weight to those with eating disorders. I use the Intuitive Eating principles in all of my counseling. Find out more at my website juliehansennutrition.com.
